Webinar: 20th of March @11AM - Practical Guide to Product Cost Benchmarking for Competitive Advantage
Meet three Tset team members as they share their stories, experiences, and what makes our workplace special.
At Tset, innovation isn’t just about technology, it’s about the people who make it happen. Every day, our team members bring fresh perspectives, diverse experiences, and a shared drive to challenge the status quo in cost engineering.
To provide an inside perspective on life at Tset, we spoke with three team members - Maria, Philipp, and Flo. They shared their unique journeys, the roles they play, and what makes working at Tset truly special. Read on to discover their insights, and be sure to watch the full video interview at the end!
Maria Guitart Corominas, Project Manager/Solutions Architect: "My name is Maria. I come originally from Barcelona, but I’ve been living in Munich for over eight years now."
Phillipp Hoffmann, Business Development Representative: "My name is Philipp, and I am from Germany. I moved to Vienna two years ago."
Florian (Flo) Grossmayer, Team Lead Customer Support: "I’m Flo—or Flo G. Where am I from? Well, this is a difficult question! I was born in England, grew up in Greece and Indonesia, and moved to Vienna when I was nine. My passport is Austrian, but I’d say my roots are in Indonesia."
With colleagues from across the world, Tset is as international as the industries we serve. Our diverse backgrounds bring fresh perspectives to our work and contribute to our global mindset.
For each of our colleagues, the path to Tset was unique, but the common thread was the opportunity to make an impact.
Maria: "In my previous job, I had a colleague with whom I worked very closely who had joined Tset. He told me several times how great and inspiring the environment was. I eventually decided to see it for myself. Today, my role is in the Customer Success team, where I am responsible for the rollout process for clients. This is the period between partnering with Tset and the moment they are fully autonomous in using the software. The tasks we need to perform during these phases include understanding their typical calculation methods and making adaptations to the software to match those processes. Another task involves providing training and onboarding clients, helping them progress from making the most basic calculations to handling the most complex or specific types of calculations."
Philipp: "I am part of the Growth team, and our focus is on building awareness for our software. We do this by calling many people, writing emails, participating in meetings, and explaining the product, all that kind of stuff."
Flo: "Originally, I started in architecture and worked as an architect for a few years, mainly focusing on digital and physical models. This is how I joined Tset as a freelancer at first, taking care of all our shapes, from drawing them to implementing them. A few years ago, I made a switch to Customer Support. Today, I'm leading this team, and I really enjoy my job. I especially like being the middleman between all the departments for internal and external users.”
Maria: "Exciting and rewarding. Every client is unique, and so are their needs. Since we're providing tailored solutions for each client, no two days are ever the same in this company. On the other hand, thinking and finding a solution that truly works for every client is extremely rewarding."
Flo: "The phrase I would choose is "challenge the status quo," mainly because I think that our product itself is a significant innovation in the market. We also have a high density of very intelligent and motivated people, and we're pushing ourselves daily, both professionally and socially."
At Tset, innovation and problem-solving go hand in hand. Every challenge is an opportunity to improve, grow, and redefine the standards of cost engineering.
Tset continues to grow, and so does our impact. But what excites our team the most about what’s ahead?
Maria: "After working with many customers and observing the way they calculate, I realized that everyone calculates in a slightly different way, especially when considering different industries or regions around the world. What makes Tset so unique and secures its place in the market is our ability to customize the platform for each customer and their specific methods of calculation."
Philipp: "I often speak to companies that already have cost engineering tools. Many are skeptical at first, but after seeing our demo, they say, ‘We already have systems in place, but yours is much nicer - we want to explore it further!’"
Flo: "What excites me the most is the opportunity to transform the industry through innovation. That isn't just about creating solutions; it's also about cultivating culture and growth."

Our team members bring creativity and energy not only to their work but also to their personal lives.
Maria: "I recently started singing in a very amateur way, but it was something I had always wanted to do. What was really cool is that as soon as I joined Tset, I found out that they also have a band, and they welcomed me. Recently, at the Christmas party, we had our first gig to help animate the event, and it was really, really cool."
Philipp: "I joined a choir two years ago, and now I’m the superstar of a music video!"
Flo: "During my student years, I had several jobs, and probably the most interesting one was working as a bungee jumping instructor. Other than that, even today, I do a lot of sports. I'm a very enthusiastic rugby player, and I also engage in boxing and climbing. On top of that, I play a lot of music."
To wrap up our conversations, we asked our colleagues a fun hypothetical question:
Philipp: "I would choose the Canadian psychology professor Jordan Peterson because I really like his way of thinking, and I would love to dig deeper into certain topics with him."
Flo: "Considering the hobbies I just mentioned, I would say it has to be the great Jonah Lomu, an absolute rugby legend, and Jimi Hendrix, the musical mastermind."
These conversations offer a glimpse into life at Tset, where expertise meets enthusiasm, innovation drives progress, and diverse backgrounds create a rich, dynamic workplace culture.
